Suet, in our mind the Italy is the fantasy country, but actually it is totally 180 deg different what we have thought…It is a very rude country. I have traveled few cities in Italy, Milan, Rome, Florence, Venice & Pisa, conclusion was Italian are RUDE!! My buddy even lost this backpack, stolen! Listen, is 10kg++ backpack being stolen in Pisa, amazing huh…

anyway, yeah europe are famous for scammers esspecially those touristy places. next time you should have some locals bring you around and learn how to swear in some local dialect. =)

My experience in Rome is the same as yours in Milan. We had food to share and the waiters at the restaurant did not even bother to serve us knowing that we’re sharing and also when we paid, the waiter toss the change at our table. SO RUDE! I find most Romans do not even try to speak english at all when asked for directions eventho we did greet them in Italian initially. I’ve travelled extensively throughout Europe and I thought Rome is by far the rudest city in Europe! What a waste that a pretty city doesn’t match its people’s behaviour.

no not that you have a easy to be bully face, ppl from europe are like that. you gota be super careful with your belongings. i’ve been to milan but i din really sitesee much and headed straight to venice.

i just got back from rome with my boyfriend. the place’s not as bad as milan. and alot of these sorta cathedral if you enjoy them.

Guess it’s true that Milan is full of crazy scammers..I have never been but we did a trip some 10 years+ ago to Italy and there were definitely scammers..restaurants (charging you just to sit at the table wtf) and buying other useless crap on the streets (stupid dancing mickey mouse piece of paper).

Ya but the pickpocketing bag one.. hey they also did to my bf in KL too! Before we cross the street in Petaling Jaya (?) and the guy lost his shoe trying to run away..

Poor Suet Milan is known for its snobbish people. Most Italians are actually quite ok people. But then again, altho we may think its quite WTF not to be able to share pizzas, apparently, its quite a common thing there. Whenever my Hubs and I go out to eat, we order two small separate dishes so we can exchange food, but we never just order one to share altho I want to do that. Its just considered in bad taste, so, what to do, just order la. Its one of those stupid Italian things. Oso, bcoz we look Asian, they think we are stupid or something. Heh, whenever they do this to me, I just break out in impeccable English and scare them off wtf.

Sorry I wasnt around, next time you come again, I bring you guys around k? Hugs.

horrible people can really ruin a trip no matter how lovely the place is, and nice people can really make a trip great no matter how boring the place is. i usually like small towns better cos the people are always so much friendlier.

everyone always says NZ people are very friendly, but not so in every town. some people are so rude and racist. once i went into this town famous for its mineral spa resort with my friends, and everyone was so rude and unfriendly. an old lady even shoved us and called us ‘stupid chinese!’.
