Boston galore

Friday, October 29th, 2010

I was in Boston last weekend! Boston is my favorite city in the US (I’ve actually only been to 3 cities here haha) cause it’s big enough and yet small and cozy too. It’s a very educated, somewhat artsy town and I love it 🙂

Harvard Square. I spent most of my time in Cambridge actually, just walking around the quaint stores, people-watching, sightseeing with Carol and her friends. It was fun!

I love my new hearts tights from Primark! Only 2 pounds ^_^

Outfit picture cause I’m vain like that

Don’t you just loveee Fall weather? New England fall is the best time of the year 😀

Eating the best frozen yoghurt in town!

Freshmen dining hall in Harvard. So Hogwarts-looking! Well apparently it’s inspired by Oxford’s dining hall which was where Harry Porter was filmed!

Walking around the best university in the world. All pictures are taken with Iphone 4!

Front facing camera IS THE SHIZNIT

If only the quality is better..

Went to the best pastry shop ever! It’s called Mike’s Pastry and it’s in Little Italy. Super packed

THEY HAVE THE BEST CANNOLIS IN THE WORLD!!! OMG SOOO GOOD I TELL YOU

This is called a lobstertail and it’s also VERY VERY GOOD! it’s like cream puff but ten times the size wtf. It’s also about 500 calories wtf

Since we’re on the topic of food, I cooked dinner! Simple soy chicken with ginger and chinese omelette! Yums.

Random picture of me in a Totoro cap. I love Totoro if you don’t know what that is you should go watch the movie now! It’s my favorite feel good animation ever, even better than Up ^_^

img00363-20101026-1558

Sigh Fall, can you please not be so pretty? It’s the hardest thing for me to leave my college years behind.

Oh lookie, it matches my new hair!

I look like a boy, but a handsome one WTF

wait till I style it! it’ll melt alllll the girls’ hearts and I’ll have a line of girls swooning over me wtf

The end.

I’m very not busy now but I haven’t been blogging because I’ve been watching ten episodes of Weeds a day wtf. It’s quite a good tv show but don’t start or you’ll get hooked too.

I’ve somewhat thought about what I want to do after I graduate and I’m really excited about it! Will write an elaborate entry about it later when I’m done being a sloth..

Snapshots of London v2

Thursday, October 21st, 2010

Second installment of my London pictures!

I didn’t really do any touristy things, in fact I made it a conscious effort to not visit any monuments/historical buildings because I’ve already done it before and I just wanted to experience London as it is this time. But what I love about London is it’s inevitable to chance upon these beautiful sights where ever you go!

#1 The famous Big Ben

#2 London Eye

#3 Some classic looking building in …where ah..Leicester Square I think

#4 Random picture

Actually not random lah it’s very well planned to be sandwiched in between sightseeing pictures and pictures of irrelevant food wtf

#5 Famous red velvet cupcake from Hummingbird. Don’t know why it was wayyy too sweet this time around for me!

#6 Amazing fried noodles in an unassuming looking Chinese shop. Oh my god looking at this makes my stomach growl like crazy T___T

I love how the chinese food in London is so freaking authentic compared to what we have in America. No nonsense like chop suey and general tso chicken and other sweet shit like that. I ate Chinese food every single day during my trip without fail ^_^ Four seasons roast duck SLURP!!

#7 A guy in corporate suit chained to some planks near the National Gallery. I think he’s trying to make a statement..selling your soul to private corporate firms?

#8 while waiting for the train

#9 Sad picture of me wtf

#10 View of Thames from the room

#11 By the Thames at night

#12 Dinner for two

#13 Happy Suet after shopping at Primark BEST STORE IN THE WORLD. Everything is super cheap!! Although not as nice as my baby Forever 21 but still, it’s cheap!!! I can has happy!

Actually I’m very sad cause I didn’t take pictures with my sister!!!! So angry! Went all the way to see her but didn’t take pictures as proof wtf.

Anyway something very dramatic happened when we were in Leeds to visit her. We rented a Smart car and drove all the way from London to Leeds and then we stupidly parked the car in this parking lot. When we went to get the car, we realized that that outdoor parking lot actually belongs to a store and they locked all the gates leading in and out of the place!!!!

We were very sad and all but then! We saw that two of the poles were actually further apart than the other poles! I don’t have a clear picture of it so let me draw wtf

car

Aiya bad drawing but it’s something like that. We noticed that the space in between those further poles can fit our Smart car! But problem: there’s another pole after that outside, so we have to cleverly maneuver the car after that! It’s SUPER tricky but we can’t possibly leave the car stranded there so it’s a risk we had to take.

So we realized that we couldn’t even get the car up the curb cause it’s too low. Then light bulb! We could just CARRY the car up the curb since it’s a smart car so it’s very small and light!! Except that although it’s light it probably weighs like 700kg wtf.

So my sister and her friends went to get their guy friends, and along came four big guys who play Rugby hahaha

After carrying the car up the curb, we were faced with another obstacle. The distance between the poles were actually JUST right for the car with no space to spare, but how does one make sure the car doesn’t move a single millimeter so it doesn’t scratch, and then cleverly maneuver it to turn so it doesn’t hit the other pole???

Well after a lonnnnng time trying to do so, they did it!! They, cause i didn’t do jackshit but stand and close my eyes for fear that they’ll scratch the car wtf. I’m such a sissy T_T

It was an eventful night and thank god for Smart cars!

Okay that’s all, I’m going to study now!

Ah shit now my stomach is making such a big fuss after seeing that fried meehoon picture! Damn you yummy meehoon! As revenge, I shall..lick that picture of you on my computer screen wtf.

So I’m in deep shit. I have a 10-page paper due in two days of which I haven’t started and I’m super jet-lagged and still in holiday mood wtf. Hence, to hopefully transition myself from that to hardcore nerdy Suet, I shall blog but at the same time try to only spend minimal amount of time doing it. This is indeed a challenge, but it’s a challenge I shall take in hopes of becoming a better person wtf ok ignore me

Here are some random pictures of London! Definitely not the complete set but I only have a few seconds to blog so here they are!

1Sabah

Monday, July 5th, 2010

I went to Kota Kinabalu two weeks ago on a personal mission to discover what it means being Malaysians in East Malaysia. I don’t know how successful the project was because I didn’t talk to as many strangers as I’d like given that I was only there for a week. I also realized it wasn’t easy to just suddenly ask someone about how they feel about being Malaysians without them thinking that I was some crazy girl..

Despite all that, I think this trip did open my eyes to a multitude of things and although this might potentially sound cliched and corny, it also made me feel somewhat more connected to people from east malaysia whom I formerly knew nothing about. I’ll elaborate more on that later in this post!

First day and I already love this place!

After spending some time in KK, we went to Tenom to visit Dom’s sister who owns a farm! This is the view of the farm 😀

It’s actually a cow farm, moooo

Dom and his super cute nephew 🙂

Tenom is actually famous for its coffee so we went to a coffee factory to try it out! We also had a very enjoyable talk with the owner’s mother where I exhausted my entire library of Mandarin words wtf

We spent the rest of our time in Tenom talking to Dom’s uncle in law who was once involved in politics. That thirty-minute talk taught me so much about the plights of Sabahans and Sabah, but I’ll refrain from touching on that so as to not appear more ignorant than I already am.

Stopped by the seaside on the way back

On the way to Kundasang! I love this view ♥

Amazing view from our hotel.

A very pretty Dusun girl. I absolutely love this picture!

We walked to the nearest town which was about 1.5km away and didn’t have the energy to walk back (which is uphill) so I tried to stop a car….but to no avail. Drivers saw me with my thumb, gave me a big friendly smile and drove away ;___;

I finally tried the more Asian way of hitch hiking – I stood in the middle and waved frantically like a monkey wtf. The first car stopped for me and told us to jump in!

So we jumped into the back with the kids! Highlight of my day 😀

Hahah so cute!!

Rainbow after the rain. Am I the best photographer in the world or what???! WORD. wtf

The view in the morning. EXACTLY like the movie The Fog whoaaa

Androo took a picture of my butt cause he’s very fascinated by how the design sort of spells SHUANG in chinese hahaha which is very apt (shuang means double? in chinese)

We went to the Kinabalu reserve forest next!

Where I met my new friend Spiky. OHAI IZ ME, he says

Last day in KK, went island hopping!

Dom and I on the boat

KK from afar

Wunmin, Androo, Yangli, Andrew and Yung Terd!

Amazing beach! Just like Perhentian/Redang

Chilling at the beach, too lazy to snorkel!

Last picture: le sandman chillin’ at the beach too

All in all, Sabah was an amazing place for me. I’m a very nature-loving kinda tourist so I really enjoyed it especially when I had the best host ever! Thanks Dom for showing us a piece of Malaysia which I’ve never seen before!

Lessons from Sabah:

1. People there are WAYYYY friendlier than people in KL that’s for sure. Extremely easy-going most of the time and very nice to strangers 😀

2. I was very interested in the general way of life there since i always feel east malaysia seems so separate and different from west malaysia. So I got to see how it’s like there and to be honest, it’s pretty similar in certain ways (language, food (not exactly),  lifestyle) but also very distinct in other ways (culture, perceptions towards issues like politics).

3. I think like many others, I’ve never really thought about east malaysians before. I mean yeah I study about them in sejarah, vaguely remember them whenever I see the different price tags for east/west msia in magazines, but I’ve never really sat down and thought, “hmm, how are they really like there? do they feel excluded/alienated by us? do they care/ not care?”

From talking to some people, the sense of frustration seems so prevalent. Frustrated at the lack of opportunity, the lack of better leaders, the lack of attention. But of course, different people feel differently towards the same issues. The kak I talked to in a small town said she’s happy and contented, and that she feels ambivalent (bordering on almost no resentment at all) towards her peninsular counterparts. The more educated youth I talked to in the city said he’s getting increasingly disheartened and appears to harbor some minor animosity to us who get a bigger slice of the cake.

But who wouldn’t when all this talk on 1malaysia and equality centers so much on west malaysia. The people of Sabah (and maybe Sarawak?) are already united but the disparity in resources alone hinders so much of their development. Basic needs like education opportunities and infrastructure etc are not even fulfilled yet, what more anything remotely close to what we’re fighting for. Sabah used to be richest state and was abundant in resources but they’re now sucked dry and is left as the poorest state in Msia.

I’m not saying that we should not fight for equality when east msia has it worse, I’m saying we should not be ignorant to their plight too. But then again, I was only there for a week and only talked to a handful of people. I’m not from there nor have I lived there, so perhaps I should be enlightened further?

I had a great time there and I’d love to go back again next time! I have a secret dream of joining Andrew and PACOS to perhaps build schools in the rural areas (wah like so noble wtf but it’s actually a selfish dream of wanting to help others so I can feel better about myself for being so ignorant before).

Sorry if I addressed the wrong issues/totally got everything about east malaysians wrong but this is solely based on my own perceptions so feel free to correct me!

p.s: i realized there are no food pictures at all. that’s a whole different story for another day cause the food there is so awesome i have a separate album for it!

Phuket we went

Friday, June 25th, 2010

There was a huge Airasia billboard advertisement in London that says “Cheap enough to say Phuket I’ll go” hahhaahaha how witty!

So Phuket we went.

Our villa! The villa was free for his parents but they invited us along cause there are two bigggg rooms!

How cute!

We had our very own private pool! It was a dive pool so it was about 6 ft deep :O

Barry and I before we head out to the beach. By the way, do we or do we not look alike?? Seriously the more I see our pictures the more I feel like our faces are quite interchangeable. I could very well tag him as me on Facebook and people would think he is me wtf

Which means..it’s either I look manly or he looks feminine and both don’t sound good wtf

The beach and an attempted artistic shot

Notice something? Those are my footsteps (I can hear everyone going duh and rolling their eyes) BUT if you think about it, those are ONLY my footsteps cause..

It’s a private beach! It actually went on for miles and miles without anyone in sight. Too bad it’s not a very pretty beach and the waves were crazy high so no swimming.

Let me introduce you to something so awesome and so orgasmic that once you’ve had it, it’s ALL you ever think about:

Ok so it looks disappointing but this harmless looking 50 sen COCONUT ICE CREAM WITH STICKY RICE, after being consumed, will send  electricity shocks to every single nerve in your body and will result in you craving for it every second of your waking moment (and sometimes in your dreams).

But alas, we only had it once and never saw that kindly ice cream vendor on his bicycle again ;_; Everytime we heard motorbike going vroom vroom behind us, we would instinctively jump and turn around in excitement but only to be disappointed to see that it was just some random guy on his bike.

Coconut ice cream with pulut, I shall remember you till the day I die. I shall remember the way your presence graced my humbly taste buds, and how my eyes lit up when my tongue accidentally chanced upon sticky rice in an ice cream. Who would have thunk!

Anyway I digress.

I PRESENT TO YOU MY NEW BAGGGGGGGGG! (sorry for the sudden change in topic from ice cream to such a bimbo sentence but— I PRESENT TO YOU MY NEW BAG!!!)

The absolute best part is, aside from the fact that it’s super pretty, it’s also REALLY cheap. Guess how much?

Guess?

Guess??

Guess???

RM 28!!!!!!!!!!

*hyperventilates at the thought of it being awesome AND cheap

I should have gone back and bought a million other bags cause they were all so pretty and cheap. Why of all time that I had to be stingy, I was stingy then??! GAH biggest regret of my life wtf

Pretty sunset!

Last picture of Phuket (there are a million more but I just worked till 8.20pm today and I can barely lift a finger now ;_;).

I’m no big fan of Phuket but now I love it! Cause I had the best ice cream ever (an exaggeration, really) and I bought the prettiest and cheapest bag ever (TRUE STORY).

Okay good night everyone, I’ve been sleeping so early and waking up early to swim. Yes, you heard me right, I actually wake up at 7 am to swim because I put on 5 kg in the last 2 months FML. I’m now 54 kg FML and I’m only 156 cm wtf laugh lah laugh lah at the end of the day, WHO has the best bag? wtf

Lose 10 kg in 2 months, possible? If I stop talking about my weight in two months it means it’s not possible and I’ve given up. Given that highly probable circumstance, if that happens, please ignore I ever said I wanted to lose weight.

Night.

To the highlands

Tuesday, June 8th, 2010

This will probably be my last post for a while because I’ll be away for the next 10+ days! I’m going to Phuket on Thursday and will be back on Sunday but then I’m going to KK for a week after that. I’ll be posting an advertorial after this too and I did a quite stupid video for it so must watch ok!

Anywayyy I’m finally posting Cameron’s pictures. Will be back to proper blog posts after this ok! I’m so tired of going out already so I foresee lots of alone time=time to think of proper blog posts after this. Oh wait, I start work right after I come back from KK so don’t think I’ll get to blog much after that too T___T

Summer is always like that for me arghghgh. I never have time at all and there are always too many things to do. Maybe I shouldn’t have interned this summer to finally get one relaxing summer before my life as a student ends. But I can’t imagine waking up everyday and not have anything to do either, confirm will die like that!

Okay so I went to Cameron Highlands with my high school friends the other day! I haven’t been there in forever so it was quite fun, especially when you don’t get all sweaty and sticky 😀

Snack for the ride! Everyone started complaining once I ripped it open cause they all hate durian. HOW CAN! BLASPHEMY!

Stayed at Clem’s apartment! Our awesome balcony view =D

And of course, steamboat at Cameron is a must! All of us who went except Kai Tzin. Daniel, Swee Win, Heng Li, me, Clem and Matt!

Eh I look light but I’m actually 53 kg Ö ö ö ö. Some more I’m so short! Got the shock of my life in Cameron when I found out that I gained 4 kg T________T How did that happen!!! Cut hair already should be lighter what wtf

Me, Kai and Daniel chilling at the balcony woot

What’s life without Heineken!

Played Kings that night!

With Kai in the morning! He’s the photographer (and Clem) for most of the pictures here

At a pretty good tea+scones place. I loveeee scones!

Awesome strawberry sundae at the strawberry farm! Mmm is this why I’m heavier now wtf

Butterfly park! It’s so sad cause this butterfly was dying and couldn’t move and I had to pry it out of my bag 🙁 When butterflies reach this size they’ll die 🙁

O hai!

HAHAHHA I LOVE THIS BUG!!! IT’S A BUG WITH A FACE!!!! Damn cute! Got mole some more hahaha

Swee Win the scorpion king!!! *mortified Ö

Went to the Boh tea plantation after!

Taking in the smell of tea in the air

There’s a tea cafe all the way up on the hill which is a pretty nice place to chill 🙂

All of us!

Candid picture of Matt and I wondering how we should pose hahah

By the way, let me show you this awesome picture!!!!!!!1

T____________T tears of joy running down my face. Look at the sun rays! So nice T______T Too bad both kai and i sudah berpunya. Eh sudah berpunya means got lovers already and not pregnant right wtf

I love Cameron! Not hot and so scenic sigh

At the market before heading home!

OH YEAH GUYS DON’T EVER BUY THE GUAVA APPLE OK!!! It’s super yummy and it’s supposed to be preserved guava. We bought soooo much of it and found out later that it’s just guava soaked in sugar and coloring wuwuwu

And then while going down the hill…………….tragedy struck. Our car broke down T____T

Had to send it to the mechanic for a couple of hours so while waiting..

Photoshoot time! nyehehe

Got more but will post later in an effort to look less vain wtf

And then when we arrived at Perak, the car broke down again and we had to call the tow truck.

Woot! Such rebels, we are. Driving against the general direction hoho

Actually we were just being towed by the tow truck T__T

🙁 Super tired by now

Reached home around 12am, 11 hours after departing Cameron. Le sigh, such is life.

Despite the last hiccup, this was such an awesome trip! Especially with people who are as stupid and lame as I am hoho. Although I must say I am always the lamest and stupidest of the lot.

Let me tell you a joke!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!11!!!!!!!!!!!1111

What did Batman say to Robin before they get into the car?

.

.

must think first ok!

.

.

.

Ans: Robin, get in the car.

HAHAHHAAHAHHAA I’m so lame how

Ok anywayyy this is the end of my super long post now I shall bid farewell to thee. Don’t abandon me ok I may be busy but I’ll always be here. and you’ll all always be in my heart *points at my heart wtf

Jungle retreat

Friday, June 4th, 2010

This post is about the jungle retreat I brought Shanshan to last week! It’s at Serendah and is called Sekeping Serendah. Google it for their official website and more info, too lazy to include the link now but it’s serendah.com or something. It’s basically some houses/chalets in the jungle where you can go to chill and to be at peace with the nature. It’s not super cheap (about RM100 per person per night) but I think it’s quite worth it!

Thank you readers for letting me know about it!

This is the timber house. We wanted the glass house which is much cooler but they were all taken!

Outdoor shower! I’ve always wanted to try showering naked outside *shy wtf

Much needed aircon in my room! It gets really chilly at night but still very warm in the day

It’s walking distance from the waterfall!

Ok so the picture looks better than the real waterfall actually wtf

Matt and me and barry in the background

Damn fun to go under the waterfall cause it feels like you’re getting massaged…although it hurts like hell wuwu

Using Clem’s underwater camera to camwhore

Lat tali lat tali tan pong to see who has to go up to take care of our belongings wtf

Daniel doing the impossible, swimming into the waterfall. I tried and failed multiple times T__T

Random guy with a giant leaf on his head HAHAHAHAHA

People polluting the river with shampoo!

Went back to swim in the swimming pool instead!

Took a million shots underwater.

I have this SUPER DUPER UGLY picture of me taken, which was our entertainment for the day cause we kept bursting into laughter everytime we saw it. Seriously it’s damn ugly if I put it here I swear my hits will plummet to zero before tomorrow wtf

Let’s all not spoil my current image in your head and move on wtf

Barbecue at night yumssss. One of the best parts of the trip!

Daniel’s buttons got stuck on the hammock and we refused to help him hahahaha

Board game at night!! Bring cards/board games over if you go so you can be entertained at night. Very fun 😀

We also brought Maggi and ate supper while playing!

All of us before leaving. That’s our house surrounded by trees!

Ok as usual I’m dead tired now, have to squeeze in blogging before I sleep and my eyes are already half closed T___T Sorry for all these uninspiring/half-hearted posts! Hopefully they weren’t too dry or something.

P.S: My grades are out! I did very well this semester so I’m very happy 😀 All that hard work has been paid off finallyyy

P.P.S: Going to Phuket next weekend woot!

P.P.P.S: One of the reasons why I’m going to KK, Sabah, is to conduct the US Application Workshop. So if you’re from KK/know someone from there and are interested in learning about the American education, do attend the workshop. I really think it’s an amazing workshop (not just cause I’ll be there lah wtf) and you’ll benefit so much from it. More details HERE.

Please help spread the word!

Being a tourist

Sunday, May 30th, 2010

Sorry I have been away for so long! I think this is the longest I’ve gone without internet for a while. You have no idea how tired I am now ;______; Seriously I can’t feel my body anymore and I can’t even think straight now. It’s been a super jam packed two weeks for me. All that traveling and bringing a tourist around don’t sound tiring but trust me, they suck out every single muscle and grain of energy from you..in a good way.

I’m gonna skip Cameron’s pictures and post the more recent ones first cause I have yet to take the pictures from my friends! So here are pictures of what I’ve been up to this entire week. I have no energy to write too much and I’m sure there will be lotsa typos so be warned!

Shanshan! Who is the most challenging tourist ever *faints

Went to Batu Caves! Let me tell you what happened right before this picture was taken.

That stupid monkey stole my drink T___T

I was posing for that picture with my empty 100 plus can when this monkey RAN full speed at my direction!!! I panicked and didn’t know what to do so I threw the can at him wtf. He took it and tried drinking from it but hahah it was empty serves you right!

Inside Batu Caves

Ate banana leave rice 😀

Went to KLCC of course!

Pictures are totally not in chronological order at all (I feel like dying now damn tired but die die must finish this blog post)

Are you confused about this picture? Be confused no more for here is the explanation wtf:

It’s physically impossible for me to wink/close one eye so I always have to manually use my finger to close my eye to take a picture with Clement’s camera cause I have to look through the viewfinder or something

Shanshan thought this was funny so she took this picture of me. Barry the kelehfeh on the other hand, was trying to block me so I don’t accidentally fall into the lake hahaha

True story.

I also look like I’m shitting

Anywayyy, to take your mind off that unflattering pose of mine, here’s a picture of us with super long bodies wtf

Don’t have to go slimming centers all, just get a camera with wide lense!

Went to Sky Bar next, which is just right next to KLCC (rooftop of Traders’ Hotel)

All of us. Me, Barry, Shanshan, Matt (Clem’s friend from the US), and Clem

Amazing view of KLCC and the city here

A Guinness girl at heart

Intermission wtf

HAHAHA I wrote this on Shanshan’s palm and told her these are the words she should know before we went to Petaling Street!

Was so tempted to write swear words and tell her they mean something else wtf

Pukimak engkau: You are very kind

Bodoh sial: Ah, this price is too much!

Balik rumah tanam jaggung lah: I think this is a very nice country

Went kelabbing with Maria and Ser Siang!

Barry and I

WAH I REALLY CAN’T TAKE IT ANYMORE I NEED TO CRASH NOW

Will continue in my next post!!!! I still have 20+ pictures of Serendah and 50+ pictures of Cameron wtf

Stay tuned yo

My week in pictures

Saturday, March 20th, 2010

Yo!

Ladies and gentlemen, what lies in front of you is the best instant noodle mankind has ever created. It cooks within minutes in the microwave and does NOT taste like instant noodle at all. It’s from Szechuan and therefore I’ve come to the conclusion that anything from Szechuan is effing amazing

Korean instant noodles, although not from Szechuan, are just as amazing. So amazing that one night at 1 am, I acted on impulse and bought 20 packets online. Die lah confirm fat.

Just to show you that I can still look girlish with my short hair 😀

So I went to Boston over the Spring Break cause we’re too broke to go anywhere else T__T But at least we have each other ^_^

This is me with my weapon of mass destruction wtf

No lah kidding it’s actually Barry’s

This is me with my new boots from a thrift second-hand store! Happy!!!!

Speaking of Malaysia, VERY important news for Malaysians in the US.

I’ve probably mentioned this a million times but here goes again. Malaysia Forum this year will be at Noo Yawk Citeh!!! If you want to see me (cheh wah wtf) and eat Malaysian food and meet all the fawesome Malaysians and indulge in intellectual discussions on anything Malaysian, PLEASE COME!!!

More info here: http://www.malaysiaforum.org/nmf/

I’ve been to the past two MFs and they were great cause I always left with so much hope and optimism for our country. I think despite all that political turmoil and dramama happening, we always need that little bit of harapan to keep going.

So if you’re a passionate Malaysian hoping to make a change, or someone who just wants to come for the food and company, or someone who doesn’t give a rat ass about our country but just wants to come to kepoh, do sign up ASAP cause registration closes in a week! Need more convincing? Email me.

Dubai Part 2

Monday, January 11th, 2010

This is way overdue but here are the pictures of my Abu Dhabi/Dubai trip!

Can’t go on a trip without these! My favorites ♥

Houses here look funny cause they don’t have roofs! We stayed with my dad in this hugeee awesome villa =D

Buying bottles of liquor at Carrefour. Haha kidding! they have an entire isle of bottles that look like wine/beer but they’re all non-alcoholic!

We went around on our own cause my dad had to work. Abu Dhabi is an amazing place actually. The malls are pretty nice (not as nice as Dubai’s, Dubai has the best malls I’ve ever been to) and it’s by the sea so the view is quite good too!

abu dhabi

New shoes! My sis and I both got the same Pumas cause they’re all gold and cool

This was at The Palm Dubai, which basically has expensive houses for people like Beckham (YES BECKHAM HAS A HOUSE HERE). If you haven’t heard of the palm before, I don’t know where you’ve been the past few years??

This is the palm, a man-made island that is shaped like a palm tree!

With my fellow siblings whom I had so much fun with in this entire trip. Seriously if you think I’m funny, wait till you meet them wtf

Bro and his pose of the day wtf

Sorry the pictures are all not in sequence, don’t remember which is on which day anymore. This is us with the Burj Al-Arab

With my entire family (HAHA at my sis wtf yes she’s taller than me although I’m the eldest T_T)

This is A FREAKING INDOOR SKI WORLD at the Mall of Emirates, Dubai. No big deal, just A FREAKING INDOOR SKI WORLD  in a mall, that is all

This toilet shows how clean/big/awesome/cool this country is and this is only one of the very normal looking toilets here!

Desert safari the next day!!!! I was soooo excited for this!

First there was the dune bashing. Basically, you sit in the car and they ride the sand waves really fast. It feels like a roller coaster almost! It would have been fun if I didn’t feel like I was going to puke the whole time wtf. I was the only one who got carsick T___T sucks!

Why hello there ^_^

I love the desert! The sand is sooo fine and cooling (it’s winter now so it’s not hot at all)

With my whole family again!

After the dune bashing, they brought us to a camp and you can do whatever you want there. You can wear the traditional Arab clothes..

Ride the ATVs

Camwhore with your stupid brother wtf

Take cool pictures with the sunset

Play with the camels (can ride also!). Hahahah I love camels, they have the best facial expressions ever

This dude is like “yo wassap wanna see my humps?” wtf

There is also this area where you can smoke some shisha =D

authentic arabian shisha, mmmm

get henna drawn on your hands

after all this, you get a full course buffet dinner too! super worth it

the finale is the belly dancing of course!

With a gigantic xmas tree in Mall of Dubai I think. The malls here are a lot bigger and nicer than malls in Msia, as if malls in Msia are not big and nice enough already!

Oh this is only the tallest building in the world, no big deal wtf. Almost two times taller than our KLCC!

The fountain show is sooooo good seriously! They play different songs every 20 minutes and the fountain dances to them! Like really sway around and dance, super cool!

OH I GOT STORY TO TELL!!!!

So after all this we went to eat some ice cream in the mall and then left and went dinner. After dinner, I realized that I didn’t have my camera with me!!!!!!!!!1 The Canon G10 is my dad’s and it cost RM2000!!! The only place we could think of that I could have left it was in the mall (most probably at the ice cream place, or the toilet wtf) so we went back to find it.

What happened in the car on the way back to the mall:

Dad was panicking and angry and was driving like a madman wtf

Mom: ok no one wanted this we can’t blame anyone, if it’s lost then it’s not anyone’s fault

Me: IT’S NOT MY FAULT OK NOBODY WANTED TO HOLD IT AND I HAD TO CAUSE IT’S SO HEAVY blabla wtf

Sis: ok once we get into the mall, we’ll split up. you (pointing to my bro) go to the info center, I’ll go to the ice cream place and you (pointing at me) will go to the toilet

Me: IT’S REALLY NOT MY FAULT PLEASE DON’T BLAME ME HOW COULD I HAVE LEFT IT WHY AM I SO STUPID

Bro: -nothing-

Me: WUWUWU WHY AM I SO STUPID NOT MY FAULT OK

Dad: which way to go aih die wrong way!! *fumes

hahahhahaha I was fucking annoying lah hahaha can’t believe my sister was so sensible  and my mom was so kind *big wet eyes

Anywayyy, we rushed to the mall, ran to our designated spots and looked for the camera. Sis found it at the ice cream place, the workers kept it for us!!!!!!!

People here are so honest and nice!! If it was in Malaysia seriously I’d never see the camera again lor!

Phew ok the end of my Abu Dhabi/Dubai trip! It was so much fun, especially with my crazy siblings =)
